Plan Your Visit

What Happens on Sunday?

At Community Church, our services generally last for around 90 minutes. Before the service begins, there's time to mingle and get to know other folks, grab a coffee or snack, and visit the bathroom . Next, our worship team will spend about 45 minutes leading us in a time of corporate worshiping using modern contemporary worship songs.  Feel free to move around, raise your hands, come to the alter, etc. as you feel led. Next Pastor Dean will spend about 30 minutes bringing a message that's scriptural, easy to follow along with, and engaging. Afterward, we'll wrap up the service with one more worship song before heading out of the sanctuary. Don't forget to drop your Connections Card at the Connections Counter, and if you have any questions about the church, Pastor Tom will be there to give you answers. Finally, pick up your kids at the cKids Counter, and feel free to stick around and chat with others. Pastor Dean will be out in the parking lot shaking hands, catching up with folks, and thanking you for visiting.

What Should I Wear?

Everyone mostly dresses casually here at Community, but you are more than welcome to show up in your Sunday best if you prefer. Some folks show up in jeans and a t-shirt, and others like to wear dresses and suits. We'll leave that up to you and your convictions. We're just happy you're here!

Where Do I Park?

On a Sunday morning, you can expect to be greeted by a friendly face as soon as you pull into our parking lot! One of our parking volunteers will greet you when you pull in and ask you if you are a first-time guest. If so, they'll direct you to one of our VIP parking spaces at the front of our building. If you're a regular attender, they'll guide you to find parking that fits your needs. Our parking lot is paved so no worries if you are wearing heels, pushing a stroller or wheelchair, or making your way around with a supportive walking device.

What If I'm New?

When you walk into the doors of the church, you can expect to be greeted by many friendly faces. Let one of our door greeters know this is your first visit, and they'll be sure to give you a VIP gift bag filled with items to welcome you along with a Connection Card that you can fill out and return to our Connections Counter after church. They'll also show you around so you know where to grab a cup of coffee and some snacks, where the bathroom and Mother's Room is, where to check your kids into our cKids program, how to find the sanctuary, and more.

What About My Kids?

We have a cKids program during our 11 AM service that offers care and teaching for nursery, preschool, and elementary grade children. When you arrive, one of our door greeters will direct you to the cKids Counter where you can check your children in (and where you'll pick them back up after the service). All of our cKids volunteers have a heart for children's ministry and have passed background checks, so rest assured your children are in good hands. If your child needs you during the service, one of the cKids volunteers will come find you.

With that said, you are more than welcome to keep your children with you in the sanctuary throughout the service. If needed, we have a Mother's Viewing Room in the back of the sanctuary with couches, some books and toys, and a two-way mirror window so you can see and hear the service while your kids play quietly.

What About Security?

We have security team members stationed throughout the church every Sunday. They are unmarked so you won't know who they are, but they are there keeping a close eye on things. All security volunteers have passed background checks and attended specialized training specific to churches. Many of these volunteers have a military or police background.
